Thesis: Emily Dickinson's pattern of her poem is the use figurative language to make all abtract concepts concrete, and the special way to reach the climax like climbing stairs, while Naomi Shihab Nye often constructs her poem in chronological order or uses flash back which makes her poem more similar to stories.
